Ramco Tile Fix is a specially formulated engineered tile mortar. It is a polymer modified, cement based and ready to use tile mortar. Ramco Tile Fix is the easiest, fastest and convenient way to fix tiles. It protects tiles and ensures a long life on wall and floor surfaces with good binding properties and excellent sag resistance.
A wide range of products available in Tile Fix range to suit every application, both indoor and outdoor – five different types. It is suitable for fixing new tiles and also renovation. Ramco Tile Fix contains cement, classified silica sand, and additives for better binding, water retention and workability meets the adhesion requirements.
Specifications
Ramco Tile Fix –T2 meets the adhesion requirements of EN standard EN1348 type C1 and Indian standard IS 15477:2004 Type 1.
Ramco Tile Fix –T3 meets the adhesion requirements of EN standard EN1348 type C2 and Indian standard IS 15477:2004 Type 2.
Ramco Tile Fix –T4 meets the adhesion requirements of EN standard EN1348 type C2 and Indian standard IS 15477:2004 Type 2
Ramco Tile Fix –T5 meets the adhesion requirements of EN standard EN1348 type C2 and Indian standard IS 15477:2004 Type 2.
Ramco Tile Fix –T6 contains White Cement, classified silica sand, and polymer additives for better adhesion, water retention, Water repulsion and workability meets the adhesion requirements of EN standard EN1348 type C2 and Indian standard IS 15477:2004 Type 2.
Surface Preparation
Remove all the deteriorated materials, dirt, oil, grease and other bond inhibiting materials from the surface and Ramco Tile Fix to be applied only after the surface attains dry condition. Wet the surface with clean water. Substrate surface should be dry and free of water prior to application of Ramco Tile Fix.
Mixing
Ramco Tile Fix contains all ingredients in dry form, only water needs to be added. Mix water until a homogeneous smooth mass is attained. Do not mix longer than 5 minutes. Do not use old and hardened mortar.
Application
Ramco Tile Fix T2 Suitable for ceramic tiles for floors and walls, vitrified and granite tiles for floors only. Apply on all horizontal or vertical substrates such as walls, pillars plastering surface. In wall application tile back site roughening coat (1 mm thick) to be done before fixing the tile on Wall.
Ramco Tile Fix – T3 contains all ingredients in dry form, only water needs to be added. Mix water until a homogeneous smooth mass is attained. Do not mix longer than 5 minutes. Do not use old and hardened mortar.
Ramco Tile Fix T4 in addition to ceramic tiles for floors and walls this product is as well as suitable for vitrified tiles for floors and walls and granite for floors and walls, and also suitable for sunken areas like toilets and swimming pools-small ceramic tiles and ceramic/vitrified tile – on-mosaic and Tile-on-granite and tile -on-tile and granite-on-granite application. Ramco Tile Fix – T5 is an Universal Tile Fix, for all applications. This product being fortified with polymer chemicals can be used to bonding of various kinds of tiles, stones in internal and external. Apply on all horizontal and vertical substrates such as walls, pillars etc. In wall application tile back side roughening coat (1 mm thick) to be done before fixing the tile on Wall,
Ramco Tile Fix – T6 is a product being fortified with polymer chemicals can be used to cater to all kinds of customer need for bonding of various kinds of tiles in internal, external. This tile fix is ideal for fixing marble and light coloured stones. Also can be applied over the primer after hardening time of the primer as specified by its manufacturer. Application up to 3mm can be made in one step without sagging.
Note :
- No application below 5°C and above 70°C.
Minimum thickness: 3 mm and Maximum thickness: 6 mm - Application trowel: Notch trowel. Application up to 3mm can be made in one step without sagging.
- One bag of 25 kg covers an area => 75 to 100 SFT @ 3 mm thickness under ideal conditions.
- Coverage will depend on the nature and flatness of the surface and the method of application.
- For good coverage, it is important that all surfaces should be clean, smooth, plumb levelled and free from defects and undulations.
- Packing/storage and shelf life
- The product is available in 25kg and 40 kg Bags. Has a shelf life of 6 months when stored in dry conditions.
Precaution
Ramco tile fixes are non-hazardous, but due to the cementitious nature, it advisable to wear a filter mask and protective coat. In case of eye contact, wash copiously with water and if irritation persists seek medical treatment.
